RARE frame off restored, but still with vintage look and feel. Renovated in early 2000s by Uwe Salwender of Area 63 Productions. As Uwe explained, this is the very 1963 Airstream after which he named his Airstream renovation business.

Officially registered with Airstream as "Lady Bird". Named after Lady Bird Johnson who was instrumental in the US Highway Beautification Act.

A vintage trailer in beautiful shape! ALL systems replaced in 2000 including all wiring and plumbing. Pre wired for solar. LED lighting. Extended black, gray, and fresh water tanks. Extra capacity 10 gallon propane water heater. Ducted AC! Like new Zip Dee awning. Polished propane tanks just recertified . Custom flame maple wood cabinetry and more. Low VOC materials throughout.

Interior floor plan and feel has been kept similar to the original 1963 mid double layout, but with modern amenities! It even still has the original "shrub" tiny tub. Sofa also extends into a double bed to accommodate 4 total adults.

New tires in 2019. New Fantastic Fans and exterior LED running lights in 2021.

2019 Inspection Summary: "This RV has been through a very meticulous restoration. This restoration appears to be done to a professional level and did not see any place where they missed any detail. The fit and finish is very good on this RV with the exception of a 8 inch scratch/ scrape on the right front. The structure on this RV seems to be in good shape. The entire undercarriage is covered in sheet metal and from where I could see, no deterioration, water damage, mold or corrosion could be found. A walk through of the cabin and inspection of the floors revealed no weak spots. The owner has a device that pressurizes the cabin and allow the body to be check for leaks and the machine will be given with the purchase. The Airstream is a fine example of what a restored vintage RV should be. This RV appears to be ready for towing and use with no performance issues noted." Inspection report and photos available.

Original exterior aluminum is in good, clean shape but needs polishing and sealing. Interior flame maple custom cabinetry and butcher block counters are in great shape. No known leaks. Comes with pressure testing equipment.

The only damage I am aware of is as follows:

Portuguese cork flooring has separated/delaminated under the front jalousie windows. I purchased the Airstream this way and was told it was due to a guest leaving the jalousie windows open during a light rain. I am not aware of any subfloor damage.

Electric power jack needs to be replaced.

One of the cabinet doors is slightly warped but repairable

Purchased for 75,000. Now asking 67,500 considering the needed repairs noted above. Please, no low ball offers. This is a solid, beautiful, age respected trailer. I am only selling because I cannot get Lady Bird on the road as much as I would like. Very much hoping she can go to a good home that will cherish her as much as I have. Viewing and inspections by appointment. No "test drives". Clear title. Certified bank issued check or bank transfer only. Unable to deliver.
