ALERT! AS of May 26th 2022 THIS TRADE WIND IS SOLD! Airstream Classified found us the perfect buyer within 12 days.

I realize that this will not be good news to the many who messaged us from Alabama to Washington State and right here in Colorado in the hope they would be the buyer or at least get a chance to walk through the unite before it rolled off to its new home. I will say that this was quick. Yesterday we had no idea that our unite would be driven off today so to those disappointed folk I encourage you to keep coming back to Airstream Classified which is how we found this same Trade Wind in 2012. After years of reading adds and hearing vintage caravaners tell of 1000 mile journeys across the US we found ours just an hour away. Being within a few 100 miles is a clear advantage to getting there first. Our buyers were only 90 minutes away and within another 90 minutes they headed home with their Silver Treasure.

As important as proximity is to getting your vintage unite it is also important that they were ready with the funds [no dickering on price] the means to tow and the knowledge needed about vintage Airstreams to have realistic expectations of an Airstream that is 50 years old. The only slow down was getting the unite level with all the lights working but sooner than I thought possible, our Silver Trade Wind was headed to her new home.

UPDATE: We requested that a Bank check be made out to us by purchaser's Credit Union or Bank. When we got to our Credit Union with our special check we were told that was the OLD WAY of doing it. So our advice now is to ask your banking institution first what is the new way to sell your Trailer and be sure all goes well.

Useful Information for future 1973 vintage Airstreamers.

" Is this trailer a Land Yacht or a Trade Wind?" Easy answer is this trailer is both a Land Yacht and a Trade Wind. The different name designations for 1973 Airstreams can certainly be confusing. The larger more costly 29' to 34' Trailers were the INTERNATIONALS. The smaller units up to 27' were Land Yachts. The name Safari, Trade Wind or Wee Wind were used to designate the trailers length.

Friday May 20th: 2022 We finally got power and more interior photos taken yesterday just before a SURPRISE rain amp;snow front settled over us. It was a hot 88 yesterday and barely above freezing today with up to 6 inches of snow expected tonight and tomorrow so no more pictures until next week. Our Airstream Land Yacht Trade Wind is 24 feet long from bumper to Ball hitch outside and 21 feet 4 inches at mid wall to wall inside. The Title says it is a 23 footer. We have the Title and it is clear. For being nearly 50 years old she is in excellent condition inside and out. As the photos show the outer Aluminum is straight all around. For about 28 years a Dr and his Wife traveled mostly the SouthWest kept her in good condition and stored her in out buildings in Lubbock Tx and Colorado. We purchased her in summer of 2012 and immediately removed the Univolt for a new Power Converter then updated the LP tanks, and waste tank outlet. Then we replaced the AC and the Frig. We have been busy this week cleaning her inside, Washing down the outer aluminum and getting power over to her.

This Vintage Airstream Land Yacht is ready for her next road trip. Windows and doors all work and the riveted seams are water tight. Trailer includes the full Airstream parts diagrams and repair manual.

Updated items include; power converter, power jack, hitch with stabilizers bars, new tires 2 spares on rims, front power vent. AC ; Frig. Always owned by non smokers. Includes all of the needed accessories for travel that we have, all of which should get you and her comfortably and safely to her new destination.

For more information about the included accessories send us a message, we will be happy to answer your questions or send you more photos.
