1978 Argosy 27 Rear Bathroom Twin

We purchased this awesome 1978 Argosy with the intention of using her for a year or two and then completely renovating her, but our circumstances have changed. After some great trips with her in her almost original condition, we have decided to sell. We made some great memories with our kids in the few short years that we owned her, and we re sad to see her go. In that time, we made further upgrades for our needs. We didn t encounter any issues at all, and we were impressed with all systems functioning flawlessly for a 40 year old trailer! That s Airstream quality! There certainly are still upgrades that would make her even better, but in her current condition she is ready to roll. Title in hand and registered in CA through 2022.

The previous owner made some great upgrades before we purchased and we have all the paperwork. New water pump, new fresh water tank, new Thetford toilet, new er dometic AC, new refrigerator, new exterior paint job, and more. We installed brand new Dexter axles and wheels/tires that have less than 100 miles of use. We also still have the original wheels and newer tires from the previous owner, with the original Argosy hubcaps and all! We added a Dexter lift kit to remove tail drag when pulling in and out of steep driveways. We had a professional welder do some work on the frame, including moving the shock mount brackets to better fit the new axles and lift, as well as lifting the Propane tanks to make room for the WDH, sway bar, and Trailer Valet mount. We are happy to include the Trailer Valet XL for an additional 400, or include in a reasonable offer from the right buyer. The Trailer Valet mount allows you to directly connect to the frame to move the Argosy from one place to another without a car. We can also remove if you don t want it. This was a godsend for us as we stored her in a spot that was difficult to maneuver with our tow vehicle. The previous owner also installed a storage unit in the front living area, above the fresh water tank, to replace the old dinette. To create another seating/sleeping area, the previous owner also furnished the front living area with a daybed and table, which we decided to remove. You will see in the photos that the front living area is a blank slate for you to customize for your needs.

While all systems worked great for us, we would recommend a few priority upgrades. First and foremost, replacing the black tank. It worked for us for general use, but we did notice minor leakage under the black tank when the grey tank got too full. Since the front living area is a blank slate, we just laid mats on the floor to sleep, but would recommend installation of a couch or new dinette for comfort. Lastly, some of the roller cabinets are original and tend to stick, and most cabinets are older and wonky. We weren t big fans of the previous owner s interior paint job on some of the cabinets and flooring. These could also be replaced.

A full out restoration or renovation would bring her back to her full glory, but she is very usable as is. Whether you are looking for a solid trailer/Argosy/Airstream to start camping in right away, or one with minimal to no issues and a strong foundation to restore/renovate, this is a great one!

We are open to reasonable offers, but we did invest some time and money into upgrades and didn t put too much wear and tear on her in the time we had her, so we are asking an even 20k. We would also be willing to deliver within the West Coast to a serious buyer for 1.50 per mile. Message us with any questions or offers.
